On May 2-9, 2005, a delegation of members of Knesset from the Constitution, Law, and Justice Committee traveled to Ottawa, Washington DC, and New York, to study constitutional issues and to meet with representatives from the Jewish communities there.


Below please find links to the minutes from some of the Committee's meetings in the US and Canada:


Joint meeting with Canada's Parliamentary Committee on Justice, Human Rights, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness.

Seminar at the University of Ottawa on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Meeting at Wilmer, Hale with former Solicitor General Seth Waxman and former Assistant Attorney General Randolph Moss.

Meeting with Congressman Steven Chabot (R-Ohio), House Judiciary Committee.

Meeting with Jewish Lawyers and Constitution-Writers in Washington, D.C.


These meetings and the travels of the delegation of MKs from the Constitutional Committee was made possible by a grant from the American Jewish Congress's Steinberg Center. The Lobby for a Constitution arranged the logisics, and the meetings took place between the 1st and 9th of May 2005. The delegation included:
